Our Story
On the 2nd of November 2014, something small began that Heaven had already marked as great. In a simple, muddy classroom in the heart of Kibera slum — a place the world had long forgotten — Bishop Joseph Otieno Odindo and his wife Caroline Akinyi Otieno saw something no one else could see. Not four walls and a leaking roof, but a sanctuary. Not a classroom, but a house of God.
With nothing but faith and a burning call in their hearts, they went door to door through the narrow, winding paths of Kibera slum — knocking, praying, believing. And one by one, hearts opened. Eighteen souls gave their lives to Christ in those early days. Eighteen people who, like the Bishop and his wife, dared to believe that God could change destinies even in the middle of a slum.
The environment was not easy. The mud was real. The struggle was real. But so was the God they served. Despite every obstacle — the poverty, the noise, the doubt of others — the two kept pushing forward, anchored by an unshakeable conviction that the God who called them was bigger than anything standing in their way.
Today, Annointed Way Ministry stands as a testimony to that faith. What began as 18 members in a muddy classroom has grown into a vibrant, Spirit-filled family that worships, prays, gives, and loves together. We have seen healings. We have seen restored families. We have seen lives turned completely around by the power of God.
We reach into the community — sharing food with the hungry, sitting with the elderly, caring for those who cannot care for themselves. Because the gospel we preach on Sunday must be lived on Monday. Faith without works is not faith at all.
We are not a perfect church. But we are a faithful one. A praying one. A people who have learned that God does some of His greatest work in the most unlikely places — and Kibera slum is proof of that. He is not finished here. He is not finished with us.

At Annointed Way Ministry, we believe in raising godly children from their earliest years. Rooted in Proverbs 22:6, our Sunday School creates a joyful, Spirit-filled space where children grow in faith, discover their gifts, and build a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Through Bible lessons, memory verses, praise dancing, and creative worship, we nurture every talent as a seed planted by God — raising a generation that carries the church within them wherever they go.

At Annointed Way Ministry, our Praise and Worship team doesn't just perform — they minister. From the first chord on the keyboard to the final note of a hymn, the atmosphere shifts and something heavenly enters the room.
Their anointed voices and melodies have drawn countless souls through our doors — passersby who heard the sound of worship and walked in curious, only to walk out transformed. They are one of the great pillars of this ministry.
